Frack Free Tas is a group of concerned Tasmanians whose aim is to keep our beautiful state free from the scourge of unconventional mining for oil & gas known as fracking.
A moratorium on fracking in Tasmania is in place until 31st March 2020. However, as the moratorium can be overturned by the government at any time, Frack Free Tas is continuing to advocate for a permanent ban on fracking as the only defence against a toxic, harmful, invasive, unwanted and unnecessary industry.
We are linking arms with similar groups across Tasmania to work together to protect the pristine natural resources that sustain our cities and towns, our food production and export markets and our booming tourism industry. Together we aim to present a formidable barrier to the invasive oil and gas industry that threatens the safety and security of our food and water sources.
